New Forum Design
Lots of exciting things are happening at Webforumz. First, a brand new design will soon make its appearance. You´ll see a fresh look and some bold changes. Be sure to give us your comments!
New Administrator
A new administrator is in town! Karinne Legault will be a welcome addition. Karinne is also (drum roll, please) the new assistant editor-in-chief for the Creative Coding Newsletter. Congratulations to Karinne! We look forward to piling lots of work on her and are sure she is up to the challenge.
Thread SOLVED Feature!
New SLOVED-threads feature in Webforumz allows you to mark a thread as solved. Once your question is answered it will be marked in this way so that other members with the same question will be able to search and know these problems have resolutions. This is going to be a great time saver!
New Staff Titles
Big news on another front. Webforumz is phasing out the titles of Moderator, Super Moderator and Lead Moderators. The switch is on to titles that better reflect the functions of these roles. Here´s the chain of command.

The foundation blocks of our community are Mentors. These are wise and experienced members who will serve as a source of knowledge in various areas of the forum. Next, we have Advisors. These are members who are assigned to the forums and given moderator privileges. They will give advice and assist members who have questions or concerns. Advisors will also participate in staff discussions.
The next role is that of the Team Leader. Team Leaders are responsible for a certain section of the forum. Thus, you have a team consisting of mentors, advisors and one team leader. This group will be the team that manages the section they are assigned.
The team leader reports to the Team Director. Team directors manage all staff under them and are active in the staff lounge and in the selection of new staff.
More information will be posted regarding these title changes. For now, be advised that we are looking for Mentors, Advisors, and Team Leaders. If you ´wanna play step up to the bat! Just sent an email to jacob@webforumz.com.
SuperMember! Revamped
The SuperMember! program has been completely revamped! Membership has its privileges! You will want to know that a SuperMember! now has the ability to hide any thread. This is a priceless advantage! Suppose you posted a thread asking for assistance for a website you are working on. Previously, this information could be picked up by search engines and could be somewhat embarrassing. Now, as a SuperMember!, you can hide any info that is not appropriate for public release. You can see all of the features here.
New Forum Online
Due to popular demand, a new forum has been created within the hosting section. It is called "Apache and IIS." This is used to post all your .htaccess and Apache configuration questions.
WOTM Changed Up!
Last but not least, there is a change in how Website of the Month entries are submitted. Because some designers have been a little shy about stepping up and submitting their site against others from more well known members, the WOTM submissions are now anonymous. Just send your user name, the URL to your site, and the prize you prefer (SuperMember! Status or Free Website Hosting for a year) to wotm@webforumz.com.
